Nintendo Reopening and Expanding Switch Online Test Application – Update

Alright, so here’s what I got for you. I was sipping my coffee this morning—side note, I swear it tastes different every day, maybe it’s my taste buds being weird—and I stumbled across this announcement. Almost the entire crew at NWR is in on it. I can’t remember if I was supposed to mail something or just send smoke signals, but whatever.

Last fall, there was this trial thingy for the Switch Online app. They’re firing it up again, and this time with more spots. Felt like déjà vu, honestly. So, if you’ve got that Expansion Pack and you’re 18 or older by 6 p.m. ET today, you’re golden. Applications are on this site from 11 a.m. Monday till 10:59 a.m. Wednesday. Got to be quick! Japan might do this lottery thing again—don’t ask me why. Everyone else just dives in first come, first served style. The drill runs 9 p.m. ET July 28 until—wait for it—9:59 p.m. August 10.

October’s test was, I dunno, smaller? Now they’re going big, like 40,000 players globally instead of just 10,000. Plus, folks in Canada, Mexico, and Brazil can join the usual suspects like the US and all those European countries. Oh, and hey, this time you can apply in bunches of four.
