Ah, Prime Day. It’s swirling down to a close. Seriously. It feels like it just started, but nope, we’re already at the finish line. And you know what that means? A last-minute scramble to snag deals, especially if VR gaming is your jam.
Quest 3S—yeah, that one—even though it’s not fresh out of the oven, is still tempting. Launched last year in Octoberish. Normally, it’s priced at $300 for the 128 GB. If you want more space—256 GB—it’ll cost ya $400. Got the same games as Quest 3, just in a slightly chunkier frame. Weird, right? Anyway, if you’re quick on your fingers today—which you gotta be—you can get ’em cheaper! $250 for the first, $330 for the second. Not bad.
There’s this image floating around, courtesy of Meta. Seriously, it screams “buy this” but also, I dunno… kinda generic? Whatever.
The 128 GB version comes with this Gorilla Tag software bundle. It’s like the popular kid in VR. Comes with some freebie in-game thingies—whatever they are—and 1,000 Shiny Rocks. Who names these things?
And the 256 GB deal, someone said it comes with Batman: Arkham Shadow (2024). Big whoop ’cause, guess what? Meta’s tossing that in with both versions. So, yay for consistency!
They’ve dangled some other accessories in front of us, but they play games. So heads up: buy your headset and toy separately. Ain’t cheaper but hey, options.
Oh, remember Black Friday last November? That was the jackpot. You could grab the 128GB version plus an extra $75 Amazon Gift Card for $300. It was insane! This isn’t quite that, but hey, it’s something. If you’re into games like Asgard’s Wrath 2 and the like, or if you wanna hook it up with a VR-ready PC to dive into Half-Life: Alyx, totally worth it.
Before you decide, maybe check out the full review of the Quest 3S. It’s packed with all sorts of tidbits. Even at $300, seemed like a crazy good deal. So there’s that.
Now, go forth and decide. Or, you know, kick back and think about it for another few minutes.
