Okay, so today’s the day everyone in the Honkai: Star Rail world has been buzzing about. It’s this big crossover thing with Fate/stay night. Yeah, that’s right, the free RPG’s throwing in some Fate flavor with their new event. It’s like, finally happening.
So, just to set the stage, this collab comes right after patch 3.4 was pushed out, like maybe a week or so ago? That patch wasn’t just a little tweak either; it came packed with loads more than just some fancy novel-inspired stuff.
And we all kinda knew this was coming, right? There was that livestream thing back in June. Seriously, who missed that? Anyways, the standout bit of Fate/stay night here is these fancy guest stars joining the game.
Now, don’t sweat it if you’re taking your sweet time; this collab won’t vanish anytime soon. No official bye-bye date yet, but whispers say it’s sticking around till at least November.
Guess what? Saber’s here, waltzing into Honkai: Star Rail as a shiny 5-Star Wind/Destruction hero. Oh, and Archer’s pulling up, too — another 5-Star but rocking the Quantum/Hunt vibes instead. If you log in during this mash-up, Archer’s yours for no cost. But Saber? Gotta go through some pulls for that one. They even throw you enough goodies to pimp Archer up to level 60 right off the bat!
There are these four epic banners dropping for Saber and Archer, plus their light cones. Oddly enough, they’re not boosting the drop rates for 4-star folks or gear. But, hey, after 200 warps, Saber’s light cone is all yours.
Here’s a hot take — none of the Fate cast comes with English voices. Might be intentional, might not. MiHoYo’s been kinda edgy about their US voice actors chipping in for that SAG-AFTRA video game strike. Wild, right?
But back to the fun stuff. There’s this flashy Trailblaze Continuance titled Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail. For the next 30 days, you’ve got a limited-time combat challenge to sink your teeth into. It wraps up on August 11, but don’t panic if you miss the train. Some of the rewards are fleeting, but the event’s content will chill in the Conventional Memoir for latecomers.
Speaking of new faces, the game slipped in some new characters this month beyond the Fate gang. Recognize Phainon? This 5-Star Physical/Destruction dude who used to be just hanging around as an NPC? Now, he’s playable.
And reruns are here, folks. First phase came with 3.4 on July 2. We saw Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle in the mix again. Phase 2 kicks off July 23, bringing back Firefly (new fashion alert!), Jingliu, and Blade.
Patch update 3.4 also buffed up Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade, giving their mechanics a nice zhuzh. And Jingliu’s rerun? Perfect timing because her kit snagged an update too. Bet everyone’s hyped for that.
