Okay, here goes nothing — I have this weird habit of keeping promises, even those about video game announcements. So, Sony just came out with the goods on when we’re getting another peek at Ghost of Yotei gameplay. They chatted about it briefly over a month ago — yeah, smack in the middle of summer event chaos. Anyone else feel like summer events are a blur? Just me?
Right, so there was this teaser for the RPG then, and they were all “more info coming in July.” Well, hey, here we are deep into July, and guess what? Sony’s spilling the beans soon.
Oh, and a quick note — have you tried managing cookies? Sounds like baking advice but nope, it’s a tech thing. Just thought I’d throw that out there.
Anyway, big news: there’s a State of Play livestream just for Ghost of Yotei this Thursday, July 10. Yeah, it’s happening. Pencil it in if your calendar isn’t already a chaotic mess. It’ll go for about 20 minutes, give or take. Long enough to get comfy, short enough to hope your connection doesn’t drop.
Sucker Punch’s own Jason Connell and Nate Fox (super creative fellas) will be hosting. They’ll dive into Atsu’s whole journey and show off some cool new weapons. And I love this bit — “new ways to personalize your journey.” Does that mean we can finally put Atsu in a flamingo costume? Probably not, but I can dream.
The announcement teases about new modes, might be more co-op stuff like that Legends mode from Ghost of Tsushima. Personally, I’m hoping for something unusual like a mode where the whole game looks like a Samurai flick. Ever tried that Kurosawa mode in the original game? It’s a trip, let me tell you.
So, this event kicks off at 2 pm PT, 5 pm ET, 10 pm BST, and 11 pm CEST on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube. Set your alarm or just wing it — whatever floats your boat.
End of the big reveal: Ghost of Yotei drops October 2 on PS5. October feels like forever away, but hey, time flies when you’re gaming. Or something like that.
