Speaking to The Verge, Dbrand’s CEO, Adam Ijaz, confirmed that these renders were based on the actual dimensions of the Switch 2. According to their precise 3D scans, the device measures around 270mm in width with the Joy-Cons attached, 200mm without, stands 116mm tall, and is 14mm thick.
What makes this supposed Nintendo Switch 2 stand out includes a sizeable 8-inch display—an upgrade from the 7.2-inch screen on the Switch OLED and 6.2-inch on the original Switch. It’s got an intriguing addition of a new “C” button on the right Joy-Con, possibly for capture functions, while the Joy-Con controllers themselves feature a more ergonomic curve and are magnetically detachable. Plus, it boasts both top and bottom USB-C ports and a wide, U-shaped kickstand similar to the improved one from the Switch OLED.
