Okay, so let’s dive into this new Pokémon thing they’re doing. It’s called the “Wisdom of Sea and Sky” expansion, and it sounds like it’s, well, bigger and better or something. Anyway, mark your calendars for next week — or don’t, I mean, who am I to tell you what to do? It’s dropping on the 30th, just when July is about to take its hat and go.
So here’s the kicker — remember those Johto Pokémon? Like, from way back when? Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile? Yeah, they’re all coming back, and with some of the big guys like Lugia and Ho-Oh too. Total nostalgia trip, right?
Oh, and speaking of shaking things up, now you’ve got Pokémon with attacks that don’t even need Energy. I’m curious — are they like, too lazy to power up, or just super efficient? Maybe both. Who knows what that’ll mean for your strategy — like, redo your whole deck maybe? Or don’t — I mean, it’s up to you.
There’s also some jazz happening with trading. So there’s this new wishlist thing where you can bookmark your card dreams. You get up to 20 on there — feels like one of those online shopping carts you never actually go through with. But here’s what’s cool, they’ll show off your top three picks on your profile. Kind of fancy, right?
And then there’s the shake-up with trade tokens and shinedust. It’s all a bit much, with the tokens going poof — I guess that’s progress for you. Anyway, collect shinedust by doing game stuff or just deal with duplicates. And heads up, don’t think about trading for tokens starting July 30th. Time zones might mess with you, so maybe double-check that UTC thing.
If you’re into Pokémon TCG Pocket, it’s hanging out on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android if you haven’t grabbed it yet. Not saying you have to, but, you know, just a thought.
Anyway — wait, nope, I’m rambling again. Oh yeah, there’s a trailer too! I couldn’t find it, or maybe I just forgot to look. Either way, it’s out there somewhere. Go hunt it down if you’re feeling adventurous! Or don’t. Whatever works.
