So, I fired up Elden Ring Nightreign again today. Why? Because the servers were doing their usual back online thing after a quick maintenance pit stop. FromSoftware’s been busy, rolling out this new-ish update — 1.01.1, they’re calling it. It sneaks in some stuff for us solo adventurers. Solo crawling’s tough, right?
Alright, enough rambling. Let’s figure out what’s in this patch. It’s live on all the platforms, or at least it should be.
Ah, the whole three-player group deal didn’t sit well with lone wolves. Totally get it, feels like an eternal struggle. Anyway, FromSoftware heard the cries and said, “Hey, let’s tweak things up a bit.” Promised changes ahead of 1.02’s grand entrance, and bam! — some sneak-peek changes slid quietly into 1.01.1 instead.
For us doing the solo gig, there’re two biggies. First, free revival during each night boss showdown. Yep, every night — no extra hoops to hop through, cuz co-op still needs ’em hoops. And, heck, they upped the rune stash too. Probably to ease that solo-carry blues, you know?
And not leaving the team players in the lurch, either. More high-rarity Relics once Day 3 strikes on any Expedition? Yes, please! Also, Scenic Flat stones are spitting out rarities like they mean it. Fancy a stroll to the Small Jar Bazaar for some?
Rolling back to bugs and tweaks, this patch didn’t slouch. Wings of Salvation Ultimate with jittery cameras? Less of that drama now. A whole buffet of skill and attack fixes, from Duchess’s weird Status Ailments hiccup to Ghostflame Ignition just ghosting altogether.
Ah! And Relics… remember the “Guardian” one? Should actually do what it’s supposed to now. Who knew I’d cheer for consistent aggression targeting?
Steam faithful folks got their share too. Climbing bugs with keyboards and gamepads? Less clumsy now, I think. Graphics tweaks, because nobody likes pixelated surprises.
Before I sidetrack hard, there’s more to pit stop at. Maybe save our Elden Ring Nightreign guide? It’s a handy friend — like a compass, showing character builds, walkthroughs, and where those cheeky Nightlords lounge.
I’ve gotta go see if that free revival makes night bossing easier now. Or maybe just adds to the drama. Here’s hoping!
