Alright, so here’s a bit about Microprose. You know, those guys used to be big in the simulation game world, right? Seems like they’re getting back in the scene with some tactical stuff like Airborne Ranger: Fightout and Dagger Directive. And yeah, there’s more — RTS Battlefall: State of Conflict and this military sim called Exfil. Trust me, they’re not slowing down. Just heard they’re publishing a new FPS called Afterconflict. Reminds me a lot of Arma 3 and Operation Flashpoint. Oh, and Hell Let Loose too. Anyway, there’s a demo on Steam.
So, Afterconflict. It’s set in this alternate history scenario where the Cold War goes total bananas into World War III. Imagine fighting on these battlefields ripped apart by NATO and Warsaw Pact armies. Total chaos! The game goes deep on realism, with weapons and gear that look like they came from history books, and it’s all about tactical moves. You got realistic ballistics, vehicles that feel right when you drive them, and hey, you can call in air support. Handy, right?
The demo just dropped for free. You play as a USSR or DDR soldier at a firing range — yeah, just standing there with all your cool gear. There are some tutorials to get you going and a bunch of weapons and vehicles to mess around with. Kind of like a taste test of the real deal.
No official launch date yet for Afterconflict, but you can dive into the demo on Steam. Seriously, go grab it.
