Okay, so get this. I was just lounging, scrolling, you know, like your typical Sunday when I stumbled on this gem. Game Freak, you know, the Pokémon folks? Yeah, those legends. They’ve got something cooking, and it’s not Pikachu-themed spaghetti or whatever. During the Xbox Games Showcase, they lifted the curtain on this project they’ve been teasing — the name’s changed too, any guesses? Nope, it’s not “Pikachu 3: Electric Boogaloo.” It’s now called Beast of Reincarnation. Catchy, right? Maybe a tad dramatic for my taste, but who am I to judge? It’s set for a grand release on Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5… in 2026. So, I mean, mark those calendars, or not, because who knows what we’ll be doing then? Probably jet skiing on Mars or something.
Here’s where it gets wild — you’re playing as Emma the Sealer. Yeah. In the year 4026, because of course, why not leap that far ahead? Humanity is basically sitting around waiting to poof out of existence. Charming. But Emma? She’s the real MVP, swinging around as “the blade that will destroy the Beast of Reincarnation.” Sounds epic, doesn’t it? The gameplay? Action-packed and frankly, I’m drooling just thinking about the demo footage.
So, the trailer has Emma going head-to-head with these massive creatures and robots. The whole battle vibe feels like something out of a Soulslike, if you catch my drift. But then again, who even knows? Maybe I’m just seeing things where there aren’t any. Game Freak hasn’t dished out all the details yet. The visuals though, man, they scream Studio Ghibli. It’s like Spirited Away on a caffeine boost.
Oh, and fun fact — this game wasn’t always called Beast of Reincarnation. Back in 2023, or was it 3023? I kid, of course, it was known as Project Bloom. Gotta love a cryptic working title. The folks over at Game Freak, led by director Kota Furushima, seemed pretty hyped, though. They’re thrilled to dive into something new and bold, quite a hop from their usual go-to, Pokémon. I mean, these are the same geniuses that brought us Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, and I’m pretty sure the color wheel exploded after that with all the versions they dropped. Anyway, wait, where was I? Oh yeah, so mark those calendars or tattoo it on your arm — Beast of Reincarnation, 2026. Let’s see what Game Freak has in store for us, right?
