Man, where do I start? So here it is, The Sims 4 is getting another expansion—Enchanted by Nature—and we’ve finally got our first peek. I’m still wrapping my head around it. Maxis and EA dropped the news that a trailer’s coming out today, and a deep-dive into the gameplay is set for June 26. I can’t even keep track of days sometimes, but that’s supposed to be when we see more.
Alright, this is the first big update since the Businesses & Hobbies thing hit us in March. So, as far as I get it, all the new stuff is about nature vibes. Nature! Because yeah, we all want our virtual lives to have more plants.
Oh, and fairies are back! Remember them from The Sims 3? I’m low-key excited because who didn’t see that coming? EA wouldn’t tease something like that and then backpedal, right? That would just be cruel.
Now, here’s something more offbeat—looks like your Sims might just ditch the whole indoor thing. Foraging for food, bathing in the wild, sleeping under stars… which sounds great until they catch some new in-game disease. But fret not—there’s the new Apothecary… thing. Is it a craft? A skill? A career? Beats me, but we’ll know more soon.
And everything’s set in this place called Innisgreen, which is… kinda like Ireland but not really? It’s like if Tolkien did a tour of Ireland or something. Mostly fantasy-land-ish, but one neighborhood seems more down-to-earth, inspired by Cobh, County Cork. You know, with those colorful “Deck of Cards” houses.
Oh, there’s a bigger nature-themed thing going on for The Sims 4. The expansion drops on July 10, but there’s this Nature’s Calling event that kicks off June 24. Just a warm-up, I guess. Then comes more updates on July 1—nature-themed skins and whatnot. Feels like there’s a roadmap even, but I’ll be honest, those schedules make my head spin sometimes.
And gearing up for the big gameplay reveal—June 26, mark your calendars! Wait, did I already say that? Never mind.
Anyway, let’s see where this all goes. Nature awaits—or maybe just more fairy dust and treehouses. Who knows?
