Arken Age is coming to Quest 3 this November and I’m kinda stoked, but also a bit skeptical, you know? Originally it was out on PSVR 2 and PC VR earlier this year, and now they’re bringing it to Quest 3 and Quest 3S. Just thinking about it makes me question why they didn’t do it sooner. Anyway, people seem to be loving this game, saying it’s like super immersive and stuff. And the Quest version? Looks way better than I expected, not gonna lie.
So, I’ve heard Arken Age vibes are like a mix of Stormland and Lone Echo. Those games are kind of iconic in the VR world — with their whole hands-on gameplay thing going on. Really pulls you into the experience, or at least that’s what everyone says.
The game’s got that whole combat and exploration thing going on. And climbing! Yeah, there’s some serious climbing mechanics happening, making you feel like you’re really in there. Immersion is like, a big deal here, I guess. They use these concepts — embodiment and diegetic design. Sounds fancy, right? But trust me, it’s cool.
Graphics-wise, it’s supposedly looking better than your average VR game, especially for the Quest version. Not exactly the same as the tethered VR platforms, but hey, still looks slick according to the teasers. Maybe it’s the Quest 3’s power? Ditching the older Quest 2 could be paying off.
It’s dropping in November, so just a little while longer to wait. Haven’t heard about the price, though. But you can wishlist it if you’ve got the patience to wait for a notification. Just hope it’s worth the hype and, you know, they actually pull it off without a hitch. Fingers crossed!
