Man, okay, so I stumbled across this PlayStation sale thing. Apparently, they’re jumping the gun on Gamescom 2025 or something. I mean, why wait for the actual event when you can just start the party early, right? Anyway, they’re slashing prices on a bunch of PS4 and PS5 games, with one of ’em being this hot new action RPG, which everyone and their dog seems to love right now. Maybe there’s something in the water?
Oh, and just a heads up for all you bargain hunters: Monster Hunter Wilds is up for grabs at a 20% discount. Capcom’s behind this beast of a game, and instead of coughing up $69.99, you’re looking at $55.99. But you better hustle because this deal isn’t sticking around. It’s vanishing into thin air come August 28 at 2:59 a.m. PT. Why such an odd time? Beats me.
I got sidetracked watching some trailer about it. The landscapes change quicker than my mood on a Monday morning. Monsters, humans, all trying to coexist in this topsy-turvy world. Your job? Hunt these gargantuan creatures and fashion some killer gear. There’s some plot about the “Forbidden Lands” and all, but truth be told, I just wanna chase some virtual beasts.
And there’s more! If you’re itching for extras, they’ve got versions for that. The Deluxe Edition is knocked down to $71.99 (it’s usually $89.99). And for those who like to go all out, the Premium Deluxe Edition’s also on sale at $92.49 instead of $109.99. Comes with all these cosmetic packs and a fancy Premium Bonus. Whatever that means.
So, when Wilds roared onto the scene earlier this year, yeah, critics pounced on it. Rave reviews everywhere. Metacritic shows it holding a solid 88 from 108 critics. Even ComingSoon.net gave it a 9.5 out of 10, which is saying something. Guess it’s worth a peek if you’re into that sort of adventure. Or maybe they’re just really good at convincing us it is. Who knows.
